Partnership HealthPlan Therapy Services in California

Compassionate, Evidence-Based Therapy for Partnership HealthPlan Members

If you have Partnership HealthPlan of California through Medi-Cal, you have access to mental health benefits that can cover therapy services with a contracted provider. I provide outpatient telehealth therapy for individuals across California who are enrolled in Partnership HealthPlan and are seeking support for anxiety, trauma, PTSD, chronic stress, depression, and life transitions.

My goal is to make it easier for you to understand your coverage and access care without unnecessary barriers.

What Is Partnership HealthPlan of California?

Partnership HealthPlan of California (PHP) is a Medi-Cal managed care plan that provides health coverage for eligible individuals in Northern California counties. It includes mental health benefits that support outpatient therapy when medically necessary and delivered by an in-network provider.

If you are enrolled in PHP, you may already have coverage for therapy services at little or no cost to you, depending on your eligibility.

Therapy Covered Through Partnership HealthPlan

Through your Partnership HealthPlan benefits, you may be eligible for outpatient mental health therapy, including treatment for:

  • Anxiety and chronic worry
  • Trauma and PTSD
  • Depression and low mood
  • Chronic stress and burnout
  • Emotional regulation difficulties
  • Life transitions and adjustment challenges

Therapy can be provided via secure telehealth sessions, allowing you to access care from the privacy and convenience of your home anywhere in California.

How I Work With Partnership HealthPlan Clients

I am a contracted provider with Partnership HealthPlan of California and offer trauma-informed, evidence-based therapy tailored to each client’s needs and goals.

My approach is collaborative and flexible. I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all model of therapy. Instead, treatment is individualized and may include:

  • Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for trauma and PTSD
  • Brainspotting for deeper emotional and somatic processing
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for anxiety, depression, and thought patterns
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for emotional regulation and coping skills
  • Client-centered, trauma-informed care

Together, we will identify what you are struggling with and choose an approach that best supports your goals and comfort level.

What to Expect When Starting Therapy

Beginning therapy can feel overwhelming, especially when you are already dealing with stress, anxiety, or trauma symptoms. I aim to make the process as simple and supportive as possible.

Here is what getting started typically looks like:

  • We verify your Partnership HealthPlan coverage
  • We schedule an initial intake session via telehealth
  • We talk through your current concerns, history, and goals
  • We create a treatment plan that fits your needs and preferences
  • We begin working together at a pace that feels safe and manageable

You do not need a referral to begin outpatient therapy in most cases.

Why Telehealth Works Well for PHP Members

Many Partnership HealthPlan members live in rural or underserved areas of California where access to consistent in-person mental health care can be limited. Telehealth helps remove barriers such as travel time, transportation challenges, and long waitlists.

With secure video sessions, you can receive consistent, evidence-based therapy from anywhere in California with privacy and convenience.

Who I Work With

I work with teens and adults experiencing:

  • Anxiety and excessive worry
  • Trauma and PTSD symptoms
  • Chronic stress and burnout
  • Depression and emotional numbness
  • Feeling overwhelmed or “stuck in survival mode”
  • Difficulty coping with life transitions

If you feel like you are functioning on the outside but struggling internally, therapy can help you better understand what is happening and begin to feel more grounded and in control.

Taking the First Step

Reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step, especially if you are not sure what to expect or how your insurance works. You do not have to figure it out alone.

If you are covered by Partnership HealthPlan and ready to begin therapy, I invite you to schedule a consultation. We can verify your benefits and determine the best next step for care.

Support is available, and you do not have to navigate this on your own.
